2017 is here. A new year with new opportunities. 365 new chances to make a difference: that has to feel good, right? Whether this involves business development, personal development or your employees’ development, EFL would like to be a part of this year’s exciting journey.

The past year was a record-breaking year for EFL in many ways. What may very well be the most important milestone is that 2016 will go down in the history of our organization as the most activity-filled year so far. We had a nice mix of open programs, tailor-made programs, networking events, alumni get-togethers, inspirational lectures, think tanks, member days, inclusive brainstorming sessions on hot topics, and much, much more.
We were also active in corporate social responsibility efforts. In collaboration with the business community of southern Sweden, EFL started two rounds of our integration project to get newly arrived academics into the labor market – an initiative combining internships at regional companies with training and education in the Swedish economy, Swedish management, Swedish institutions and Swedish economic history. We are pleased to report that half of the participants in the first round of the project completed in July are now employed.
Now we are setting our sights even higher and looking forward to a 2017 that continues to simmer with activity. We are getting the new year off to a flying start with the following open programs starting up in January for those of you who are eager to get moving ASAP: Marketing Management (Diplomerad Marknadsekonom); Diploma in Management Control (Diplomerad Controller); EFL Leadership in Organizations (EFL Ledarskap i organisationer) and External Accounting and Financial Statement Analysis (Extern redovisning och Räkenskapsanalys).
We also launched our new digital learning management system, EFL Learning Lounge, to set the stage for 2017. The system gives our customers effective support in their learning processes.
