EFL has kicked off the new year by ambitiously broadening its program offerings. Building on our strong market position in executive education, we will increase our market penetration in 2018 by offering management training with a focus on technology – under the name EFL Tech. This new business area will focus on training where management and technology meet.
Since 1969, EFL has offered executive education in partnership with the Lund University School of Economics and Management in areas such as business development, digitalization, finance, law, leadership, management, marketing, strategy and corporate governance. At a time when management and technology are increasingly integrated, we see adding more tech-oriented management training to our program offerings as a natural step.
“This marks a milestone in EFL’s history. In recent years, we have been entrusted with holding more and more courses of a technical nature within digitalization, technical innovation, construction/real estate, logistics and project management,” says Per Malmberg, head of the new EFL Tech business area. “This is nothing new, of course, considering the strong links between technology and business. But in an age where technology is being integrated into services and solutions at a breakneck speed, decision-makers urgently need to get a better grasp of the synergies they can generate. The time is therefore ripe to launch this brand-new area that makes a great fit with our existing profile.”
Henrik Lundgren, CEO of EFL, comments on EFL’s investment in the new EFL Tech business area: “Tech-oriented management training is a natural step for us. Complementing our already broad areas of expertise with related technology fields will make EFL more of a one-stop shop for our clients.”
In true EFL spirit, the EFL Tech initiative will take place in close dialogue with organizations in EFL’s member networks, and with both existing and prospective clients. EFL operates in an exciting region of the country that is home to many tech companies, both industry giants and exciting startups.“As always, the best products are developed in collaboration with our clients. We hope to build something impressive where technology and management meet in collaboration with the region’s businesses, clusters and networks. So, in the future, there will be no reason for companies and organizations in southern Sweden to cross the river to fetch water – it will be right here at EFL,” says Henrik Lundgren.
